    Not much

I went out last Sunday evening. I didn't get on the water until after 7pm because I had to go to 3 boat ramps to find one that was really open. I thought everything was opened back up but apparently not. It was very frustrating. I ended up putting in at River Forks rec area and being that it was so late I just set up on a hump that was about 40ft deep and put out down lines. Caught 2 that night. Fished until about 10:30pm. 1 was caught right before dark and the other around 9:30pm. I am still learning this stuff though.

i normally find them from andersonville island down to around bouy 5. around the main channel, lots of the time i will anchor in 150 ft of water if i see a few archs. put the lights out and the bait fish should come

    Dennis,
I think I may head out tomorrow afternoon and give it another try. Don't think I can stay out as late tomorrow though. Thanks for the tip though.

    Dennis,
When you do this in 150 ft water at night, how deep do you usually start your baits?
    Thanks,

if the sun is still up, check along the tree line of the main channel, if you mark fish try just a few feet above them they may be a 100 ft. down in the hot weather like in mid July or Aug. if i find them in the channel, drop the anchor put the lights out. the smaller bait fish will come first if the bait gets down say 50 feet thick. the bigger fish most of the time will be just below the bait, my bigger ones come on rods outside of the light shadow. i will start with rods out 25, 30, 40 & 50 to find the depth they want. may want to try a point just along the deep edge, with water 50 foot or so deep. drop to the bottom and crank up a couple of turns or feet hope this helps but sometimes nothing helps. if they are in close to the trees try drifting, trees get rough on anchor

Dennis, thanks for the tip. Like usual I could not find the fish. Just a mark here and there so I ended up doing what i usually do when I can't find fish.. Try to find a hump or something that they might cruise by after dark. I set the light out. I ended up catching 2 last night.

I use a mini kota i-pilot that has a "digital anchor" if you will and that thing works fantastic so I don't fool with real anchors anymore. That thing will hold me in place for hours.
