    General Guide question

    I'm having a guys weekend at my cabin at the end of october-- too many to fit in my boat. I was wondering if guides ever consider a trip in which 3-4 guys are on the guide's boat and we use my boat as a second boat and basically fish near each other for the day? Has anyone ever arranged a trip like this and if so, is there a charge for the other boat to tag along? I don't really know how this would work.

    I might just rent a pontoon boat but that would lack the equipment that would be supplied with a guide boat as a second boat.

    @wkelly
    I would check with @Buster Green , I have been out with him before and I am a big fan. He has a lot of character and personality and can really converse and entertain your crew. On a trip with him he had mentioned how some guides will team up for large corporate parties so he may entertain what you are proposing. Just give him a call @ 864-277-2463 or look him up on his web site: www.palmettostateteamtrail.com

    If you talk with him let him know Joe D. sent you and that you were referred to him from www.fishinglakehartwell.com .

    Going with a proven guide will ensure you and your friends have the best time possible. It certainly would not want to be the resident lake expert and get caught out there stinking the place up catching no fish. If that route doesn't pan out for you let me know and I will see about offering a good plan B or C.

    Good Luck.
    Joe D.

    Wkelly I would agree with Joe on this one the last thing you want to hear from your crew if you take them yourself is...

    I have been there and done that, it's not worth the stress or aggravation.
    If you guys go out let us know how you make out.

    I have the same problem next week, too many people not enough seats. I booked Capt Steve P. since he has a pontoon and all the gear. I'll enjoy fishing with everyone else with no worries about taking my guests on a no fish boat ride.

    Hey Pakjohn-- i think you scooped me with Steve P. Couldn't get him to call me back. However Buster Green set me up with someone he recommended, Brian Kelly (great last name!), and we'll be trying the tag-along with my boat. Will let y'all know how it goes. My prediction is the guys in my boat will want to switch out half way thru.....but at least my cigar ashes won't tick off the captain in my boat.
