I know some of you are saltwater folks, received 30 cases of salt water Ploppers today. Ordered extra Blue back herring. Come by Cabela's and see us.

@oconee130 I have not head of the Whopper Plopper prior to your post today. When I saw your post I proceeded to do some searches and the Whopper Plopper looks like a great candidate for a new surface action on Lake Hartwell. It seems to have a distinct action and flexible with how it can be retrieved. I will be owning some of the Blueback version shortly. If any of you have any experience with the Plopper have you had any luck?

    Thanks,
    Joe D.

Joe, right now the Whopper Plopper is the hottest lure going. The 90mm size in "Monkey butt" and the "I know it" patterns are the best I have seen. The 130mm size is working well also. The Blue blood color is awesome for topwater Stripers, I have used the Green one(sooner) on spots and it have produced really well. The new salt water version is a 130mm size and has stainless steel fixtures and tin hooks. Plan on trying Blue back Herring this week.

I previously picked up four different Ploppers and they are the real deal. They really do have a distinctive action and the fish can't resist them right now. Went out on Tuesday evening just at dusk and caught three bass (2-3 pounders) within an hour and a half. I would highly recommend you check them out if you can fit any more tackle in your box ;)
